South Africa took on Thailand in the championship fight for the title belt, Way of the Warrior Muay Thai.
Muay Thai is a martial art and a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. To a packed auditorium on fight night, the excitment was mounting in anticipation for the intense battle to start.
I was on the edge of my seat rivitted by the swift, sudden kicks and punches these martial-art contestants threw at each other, until respect was won.
MNET came in and filmed the fight for their Way of the Warrior series while our photographer Graham Abbott was on the spot snapping away.
South Africa took the title!
