John van der Ruit author of Spud joined forces with producers Ross Garland and Brad Logan and Donovan Marsh as director, the trio have brought to the silver screen the right mix and energy for Spud to be a hit!

If you have read the books, you will know more or less what to expect from the movie. Spud is a tale about a boy coming of age in boarding school. It is a movie full of laughter, tears and joy and Troye my nephew who plays the lead.

His angelic face was first seen on the Big Screen when he was cast in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He played the young version of Logan made famous by Hugh Jackman in the X-Men films.

Not only can Troye act, he has a strong singing voice, this little Trojan horse is conquering his dreams and reaching for the stars. He sang at the 2006, 2007 and 2008, Channel Seven Perth Telethon, singing a duet with Australian Idol winner Guy Sabastian
