The Rolling Retro Surf Contest took place on Llandudno beach on Sunday 23rd January 2011
During the heat of the day, the heats were on. Hout Bay and Camps Bay surfers hit the water and rode the waves on classic and retro boards, ducking and diving, as Mother’s Nature showed no mercy with some rip roaring dunkers.
The naked truth was revealed when in a moment of glory a naked surfer went out on his board, with stiff competition following. Brave as he was in his birthday suit, I am sure he would have preferred a wetsuit. Hung Ten man!
Rolling Retro, RVCA and Vudu Surf was a big hit! Llandudno Lifesaving club on the rocks does rock and happens to B! one of the best beaches in the world.
Lets hope it happens again next year. Keeping all you beachcombers in the loop.
