maremoto

Maremoto boutique Hotel

Maremoto, meaning moving wave in Italian and when it comes to small intimate hotels, it is the new wave on Long Street.

Christopher Ross, owner of this little family hotel came up with the idea that a hotel/restaurant with a studio venue was needed in the city. Christopher’s idea was to create a fabulous stop in and eat vibe, stay the night, or book a bash in the venue.

Step in off Long Street and step back in time, this charming place of abode is steeped in history once known as the fabled Harp hotel from the last century, now comprises of six luxurious and comfortable en-suite rooms, designed in chic turn of the century cafe style by Jake Glauser.

Step out and Shop! Easy access to anywhere in the city, Table Mountain, V & A Warerfront, museums, the beach just over Kloof Nek all at your fingertips.

I had lunch in the herb courtyard which was cute and the food very good!
