Topolino Fiat 500 Club – Falling in love again with Fiat 500 is easy. If you’re a car lover, why not have an Italian lover?
The iconic little Fiat 500 was originally designed by Dante Giacosa and during the late 50’s; right into the mid 70’s, this super, duper, popular state of the art, city car was the it car. Back then the Fiat 500 known to the Italians as Cinquecento or Topolino was exciting, new and different, now once again the Fiat 500 is making a major come back and being as faithful as ever.
It is the safest little car on the road, easy to run, zippy on the road with an engine that purrrrrs, the clean Italian line with a chrome finish inside is as perfect as it gets. When you sit in the 500, you want it. I fell head over heels in love with this little bomba!
William Simpson in Tokai is a major player in the car industry and understands the art of selling these little Italian beauties.
Alora,(and so) the Fiat 500 club has been born. QueenB! and twenty-two other Fiat 500 owners, went behind the wheel on their first Fiat 500 run from Cape Town to Franschoek. We buzzed up the coastal road to Stellenbosch and onto Franschoek where our Italian host Sig. Fortunato the owner of Bicccs was expecting us and yes! He has a Fiat 500! We had a light meal, authentic Italian panini, gelato and a very good espresso.
The Fiat 500 club is up and running. That’s amore!
