The Reserve Club

After a long winter the boys are back in town! The Reserve unlocked their doors to reveal a slight change with a new look.

The 20s and 30s Art deco interior is evident. Black and white checked carpet at the entrance, marble walls, subtle shades of green, and stain glass murals of exotic birds, plants, sassy poufs, chandeliers and sexy lighting. Flashes of shocking pink sofas that combines to produce a flamboyant Parisian look that works. By adding a second bar at the back of the club and moving the bird cage DJ to the left, was a good move.

Reserved for the party goers, the combination of the French connection and the local talent is like an alchemist at work, mixing and pulling together the right energy for a great party. Marie Antoinette or Gold was the theme for their opening night with Moët & Chandon as the sponsor.

Not many dressed to impress, most women did not respect the theme and arrived looking much like one another. This was disappointing but it did not deter or alter the direction of the mood.

Having said all this and the fact that Moët & Chandon were the sponsors, a welcome drink at a private party should have been given to the guests.

Through the Sony eyes of QueenB! here are some shots from on the spot.
