This is the Biography of Bex Murray a twenty six years old Singer/Songwriter from New Zealand now living in Cape Town, with a genuine devotion for the art of music. She has let nothing stand in her way, on her journey to make her dreams a reality. Realising that she was clearly gifted with a talent, her family encouraged her to sing from an early age.
In May 2012 Bex released her first official album, “Heart that talks” which is now available on iTunes. Her repertoire of music suits all occasions, ranging from classic music right through to rocky pop. Bex has performed at many weddings, festivals, hotels and as the main act at corporate functions, for the likes of Robert Kennedy Jnr and Sean Fitzpatrick. Through her hard work and endless perseverance, she has been fortunate enough to grow as an artist , whilst recording her album in numerous countries (Sweden, Poland, South Africa) and producing songs with stars of the industry such as Brady Blade and Bernard Fowler and also opening for big international acts such as Creedence Clearwater, The Hollies, Bonnie Tyler, Leo Sayer and being lucky enough to perform in front of Princess Anne at Zara Phillips 30th Birthday and she sure has made the best of it.
I caught up with Bex in the Leopard Bar at The Twelve Apostles where she was performing. Bex truly has her act together – confident, beautiful, and talented. Singing passionately, she set the mood on a winters night. The sounds of Bex were laidback, we snacked on comfort food in front of a blazing fire, while sipping a glass of wine – what more do you want?
Bex will take up her mic again in the Leopard Bar in two weeks’ time. Don’t miss this extraordinary talent!
