Vivid Luxury is alive and well in Val de Vie. On a perfect note – it was a perfect day for the Veuve Clicquot 2015 Masters Polo. I say there – a good wine matures with age and so has this, the 5th annual social event.
Luxury goods – super cars, French champagne, sport, high fashion, designer jewelry and fine dining – are in association with a desirable lifestyle. Quality is appreciated by men and women who love to be spoiled; and men who love women know how to spoil. The taste and feel in quality brands speak for themselves. The infusion of top brands that have been around for centuries with the up and coming brands of today can be tricky at the best of times. The Veuve 2015 Masters Polo, however, did this with much panache and aplomb; involving younger brands alongside the well established ones, in the sponsorship of the event.
It was a very busy day in the VIP lounge for Anina Malherbe and her team from Vivid Luxury. They did a sterling job pulling it all together. Anina was calm and beautiful – a social butterfly seeing to her guests, while they mingled and enjoyed a perfectly chilled flute of champagne and canapés. All this, while chatting and laughing… and paying some attention to the match.
The Val de Vie Estate, set among the natural beauty in the Paarl-Franschhoek valley, is more than perfect for a Polo field and fit for any a King or Prince who wishes to play the field…tally-ho!
Internationally, Veuve Clicquot is recognised for its long association with Polo and as a sponsor for some of the world’s leading polo events such as the UK’s Gold Cup, USA’s Manhattan Polo Classic and LA Polo Classic. Drawing inspiration from polo’s global presence, the Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo Cape Town is now one of Cape Town’s most anticipated events and the only one of its kind on the African continent. All of this thanks to Pascal Asin, Market Director Africa Middle East of LVMH,
Many came for the fun and hype of just being there. It was a social media event, making it a huge success enjoyed by all. Personally, I did not Shimmy over to the after party, but I can well imagine it was a night to remember.
