I have to admit, The Last Word is very satisfying. I’m not talking about having the last word though; I’m talking about The Last Word boutique hotel in Constantia. This hidden jewel ensconced in a secure hideaway is one of the best-kept secrets in Cape Town.
From the moment I walked through the doors of The Last Word, I felt the harmony that resonates with the tranquility in this unique boutique hotel. These walls lie off the beaten track and away from the hustle and bustle of the city, definitely having the Last Word on getting away for a while. I felt truly at home in a place that is home away from home.
I was greeted by Tess – softly spoken with a beautiful, warm and genuine smile. Tess and Sam are at the head of the realm, running The Last Word with ease and grace. No request is too big or too small, or impossible for them to take care of.
Overlooking the magnificent garden and pool, the penthouse is gracious and spacious. Decorated with subtly elegant pastels that are pleasing to the eye, nothing is pretentious – just simply divine! Apart from where I stayed, one of my other favourite suites was one with a special delight. A superior double with its own plunge pool and wooden deck – hidden and secluded and out of sight.
The unique aspect of The Last Word is exactly that! Each and every room has its own flare and privacy. This is my last word!
