FOUR SEASONS WESTCLIFF JOHANNESBURG

From a distance when I first set eyes on The Westcliff Four Seasons hotel in Johannesburg, I thought it looked a bit like a film set that had been built on the hillside for next TV hit series, ‘The Lost Golden City’

This 5-star luxury hotel gives the impression of a 5-star secure estate, whereas in fact it’s a paradise hotel with courtyards and fountains, beautiful gardens, two swimming pools, a day spa and state-of-the-art Health Club and restaurants.

The view in the distance of the Zoo and the rapidly growing metropolis of Johannesburg’s concrete jungle known as Jozi, can also be very exhausting! Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised by the peace and harmony I felt when I entered the Four Seasons, a stress-free atmosphere and a relaxing Spa to enjoy and indulged all that is offered to you.

Most of the rooms and suites open out onto either a balcony or garden terrace. The décor is inspired by modern Africa – a cool, contemporary chic that blends with the comfort of the room and shows a quality in the finish. I also loved the convenience of the wardrobe in the bathroom. A lovely touch – allowing you to shower, bath and dress in one space. This is fabulous!

The breakfast was hearty and the array of culinary delights in the deli was scrumptious.
The staff delivered service with a smile in abundance, and went out of their way to please.
The brand certainly lived up to its worldwide reputation for me and made my stay at the Westcliff Four Seasons a wonderful place to be.
At the end of the day, it’s about lifestyle and how comfortable your personal experience can be. Mine was a week of uninhibited charm and bliss. A perfect get away, where you can work and play.

P.S. I have been told that in the silence of the night or early morning you can hear the Lions roar!
