Lawrence Graff an English jeweler of international magnitude, has the reputation for being the King of Diamonds because of his expertise in handling rare and beautiful stones. He is driven by passion for perfection and Mr. Graff stops at nothing to achieve such quality.

The Graff jewelry boutiques around the world, mark the success of his brand. Celebrities, Kings and Queens heads of state have all graced a Graff boutique at some point or other to acquire an exquisite piece of jewelry.

His empire includes the Delaire Estate, which is a rare jewel in itself. International Architect/Interior designer David Collins, raised African chic to a new level with a glorious mix of Cape Dutch and contemporary architecture that compliments Mr. Graff’s love of contemporary art. Showcasing international and local artists and sculptors around the estate you will come across Dylan Lewis, William Kentridge, Deborah Bell, Fred Schimmel, Anton and Lionel Smit, Ndikhumbule Ngqinambi to name but a few on display. On one occasion at a charity dinner at Delaire, I met Monika Pon-su-san, the model and icon who sat for Tretchikoff ‘Chinese Girl’ who will always be as beautiful and mysterious as ever.

There are two restaurants to choose from. The Graff Restaurant (bistro chic) and Indochine, offering modern Asian inspired cuisine. Today we were on the terrace overlooking the gardens designed by Keith Kirsten sipping a delicious glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The stillness and breathtaking views of Mother Natures beauty in the Helshoogte Pass is God’s signature and Masterpiece of His own ancient painting, it was breathtaking.
