Fashion is all about what feels good and looks good on you. We all have a fashion identity that looks back out at us from the mirror.  We all want to have our own style. Iconic designers such as Valentino, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent have over the years designed creations for women to feel and look good in. Classic, elegant and chic – of course, this comes with a price tag.

I came out of retirement as a Valentino model and went behind the scenes to do a shoot for a brand that’s easy to wear, comfortable, simple and affordable, our very own South African designer Desray.

For those who’ve never witnessed a fashion shoot first-hand, equally as impressive as the clothing is the beehive of activity that goes on behind the scenes, making sure that everything looks good on camera as it does in real life. Every day is full on in the life of Desray!

Having and managing a brand is relentless; you have to be on top of it from start to finish making sure the brand lives up to what its aficionados expect of it. Desray has a huge online presence and fast delivery, and both have been key to her success. She is the face to her very own brand.

To extend the old adage about fashion, every woman should have a little black dress in her wardrobe, and every woman should have a Desray!
