Hugh Masekela R.I.P. The King of Jazz

For years Hugh Masekela has been known throughout the world as one of the best jazz artists around. Once again the proof was in Central Park NYC, when hundreds of fans and X-pats gathered to listen to the soul sounds of the African beat from the King of Jazz. It was June 2011 a scorcher of a day as fans laid out rugs with picnic hampers while they waited for the sounds of the African rhythm to take them home to where their hearts are.

FreshlyGround, were the supporting band and for those who do not know they are a South African group who are truly fantastic!

I jazzed it up with friends in the park, for a laugh, have a look at the footage On The Spot Dancing as if nobody is watching!
