CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA

As we toured Charleston in a horse drawn-carriage, the American Civil War comes to mind. This quaint, beautiful, historical town Charleston, during the war riddled with sorrow and pain.
It is rumored that the author Margaret Mitchell, while staying in Charleston wrote some of her romantic novels ‘Gone with the Wind’ basing her main Star-Crossed Lovers, Rhett Butler from Charleston and Scarlett O’Hara from Atlanta Georgia. The house where Rhett Butler lived during that period is today, The Rhett House Inn.
From the architecture to the shopping, restaurants, and southern charm, I take my hat off to this adorable town. While I was swept away with it all, the day before my departure, I sat down and watched Gone with the Wind, for about the 3rd time and yes, I sobbed!
